Aranea is a team project that I’ve worked on together with Kaj Driesen, Daniel Malaczynski en Dieter Meulemans. The goal of our Game Projects 1 course was to create a game using Monogame & XNA Framework based on the theme “Capture”.
Within the game the player takes control of a Spider. With this the player’s goal is to capture certain points within the garden. This is done by placing its eggs down on the capturable area but in the meantime a large amount of enemies will keep flooding towards the player.
So the player is supposed to protect him/herself from the horde of Insects but do mind, It is not only the player they want to kill but also the defenceless egg sacks which the offspring are still growing inside of.
